### Cartridge element

The HU 712/11 x is the paper-and-plastic insert that goes into the engine's own oil filter housing. There is no can to throw away, so the old element can be incinerated with no metal to strip out. It measures 64 mm across and 105 mm tall and comes with the O-rings the housing cap needs, so the job is done without a trip back to the counter.

### Service set

On a service the workshop usually replaces it together with the air filter C 21 106, fuel filter PU 7005/1 and cabin filter CU 2040 for the same car, so one order covers the filters. Check the fitment notes before ordering, since the right part depends on the vehicle's equipment or build date. Log the change in the service book and reset the service indicator.
