### What it does

Iridium on both the centre and the ground electrode wears very slowly, so the gap stays close to the factory 0.7 mm over long service intervals. ### Fitting and what else to check

Change all plugs on the engine in one go and fit them with a torque wrench into a cold head; aluminium threads strip easily. Blow out the plug wells before removal, and check the coil boots for tracking marks or cracks while they are off.
