## Why this one

- **Complete repair kit**: Comes with five screws; nothing used goes back on.
- **Key dimensions**: 138.8 mm outer diameter, 5 wheel-bolt holes.
- **Matching SKF tool**: SKF names VKN 604 as the special tool for fitting this kit.

## On the job

### The job

VKBA 7129 replaces a worn rear wheel bearing on the BMW 3 Series G20. SKF supplies it as a ready-to-fit unit matched to the original design, with the single-use parts the job calls for. A worn bearing shows up as a hum that rises with road speed and changes when the car loads up in a bend.

### In the box and alongside

The kit comes with five screws, so no used fasteners go back on. SKF recommends its special tool VKN 604 for the job. SKF lists two per axle, and with the wheel off it is the moment to check the brake discs, pads, the CV joint boot and the other side's bearing.
