### The job

VKBA 7795 replaces a worn rear wheel bearing on the Toyota Hilux. It is a cartridge bearing that is pressed into place, so plan for a press and the right adapters before the job starts. A worn bearing shows up as a hum that rises with road speed and changes when the car loads up in a bend.

### In the box and alongside

The kit comes with a circlip, a hub ring, two shaft seals, a gasket and two seals, so no used fasteners go back on. SKF recommends its special tool VKN 604 for the job. SKF lists two per axle, and with the wheel off it is the moment to check the brake discs, pads, the CV joint boot and the other side's bearing.
