## Why this one

- **Complete repair kit**: Comes with four screws; nothing used goes back on.
- **Matching SKF tool**: SKF names VKN 604 as the special tool for fitting this kit.
- **Two per axle**: Sold per wheel; SKF lists two per axle for this fitment.

## On the job

### The job

VKBA 7842 replaces a worn rear wheel bearing on the Toyota Yaris Hybrid. SKF supplies it as a ready-to-fit unit matched to the original design, with the single-use parts the job calls for. A worn bearing shows up as a hum that rises with road speed and changes when the car loads up in a bend.

### In the box and alongside

The kit comes with four screws, so no used fasteners go back on. SKF recommends its special tool VKN 604 for the job. SKF lists two per axle, and with the wheel off it is the moment to check the brake discs, pads, the CV joint boot and the other side's bearing.
