## On the job

### Finish the battery fit

Once a new battery is in and the clamps are tightened, Pole Protect goes over the poles and clamps as the last step. It dries quickly into a thick, pasty, water-repellent layer that keeps moisture off the connection and prevents sulphation on the terminals. The blue colour makes it easy to check that the whole terminal is covered.

### Other uses

The same film protects unprotected push-pull connectors and the spring-loaded contacts on sliding doors. Apply it only to clean, connected terminals; if the old clamps are dirty, clean them first, for example with QD Contact Cleaner. It is sold as a CRC Consumer product in cases of six 250 ml cans.
