Why this one

OE fit

Frame and seal shaped for the original air box, 312 x 190 x 58 mm.

Dust capacity

Holds enough dust to last a full service interval without choking airflow.

Accurate air mass

Steady airflow keeps the air-mass sensor reading correct.

Lignin-bonded media

Part of the fossil resin in the media is replaced with lignin.

On the job

Clean air to the engine

The C 32 191 stops road dust before it reaches the turbo and cylinders, and keeps the air-mass meter reading true so fuelling and emissions stay where they should. The media is partly bonded with lignin, a wood by-product, in place of some of the usual resin. The sealing frame follows the OE air box exactly, so unfiltered air has no way around the element.

Service set

On a service the workshop usually replaces it together with the oil filter HU 7020 z, fuel filter WK 8058 and cabin filter CU 2842 for the same car, so one order covers the filters. The fitment list shows exactly which versions it suits. Log the change in the service book and reset the service indicator.
