Why this one
01
EFB construction
Reinforced flooded design made for basic start-stop duty.
02
About 2x cycle life
Varta states roughly twice the cycle life of a standard flooded battery.
03
AGM upgrade path
EFB cars can move up to AGM; AGM cars must never get EFB.
04
ETN 560500064
Short code N60, case H5/L2, for a quick match to the fitted battery.
On the job
Where it belongs
EFB is the step between a standard flooded battery and AGM. It suits cars with basic start-stop that do not recover brake energy, and Varta rates it at about twice the cycle life of a conventional battery. This one is in the H5/L2 case, 242 x 175 x 190 mm, with standard EN terminals and a B13 ledge.
Fitting it right
You can upgrade an EFB car to AGM if it keeps flattening its battery, but never fit EFB where the car came with AGM. Where the maker requires it, register the battery change with a diagnostic tester so the charging strategy matches. Clean the terminals, check the clamp, and return the old battery for recycling.
