On the job
Diesel element
The PU 7005/1 is an insert for the original fuel filter housing. Its fine media holds back the particles that wear common-rail pumps and injectors, and it separates water from the diesel so it can be drained from the housing. With no metal in it, the used element can be incinerated.
Service set
On a service the workshop usually replaces it together with the oil filter HU 712/11 x, air filter C 21 106 and cabin filter CU 2040 for the same car, so one order covers the filters. Check the fitment notes before ordering, since the right part depends on the vehicle's equipment or build date. Log the change in the service book and reset the service indicator.
