The job
VKBA 7787 replaces a worn rear wheel bearing on the Hyundai Tucson. It is a complete hub unit with the flange built in, pre-set and sealed at the factory, so there is no end-play to adjust and it bolts straight on. The magnetic ABS encoder sits in the seal: fit it the right way round and keep magnetic tools and metal swarf away from it.
In the box and alongside
The kit holds the bearing unit itself; reuse nothing that the repair manual marks as single-use. SKF lists two per axle, and with the wheel off it is the moment to check the brake discs, pads, the CV joint boot and the other side's bearing.
