On the job
Fuel-economy grade
Hyundai and Kia fill their petrol and hybrid engines with ACEA A5/B5 fuel-economy oil, and the Liqui Moly guide lists Special Tec B FE as the preferred oil for the Niro 1.6 GDI hybrid. It also carries BMW Longlife-01 FE, MB 229.6 and Volvo VCC 95200377, and is recommended for Renault RN0700.
Where it fits
The thin 0W-30 keeps friction low for the fuel figures, and the premium additive package keeps the engine clean. Sulphated ash is 1.0 %, so it is not a substitute where the maker asks for a low-ash ACEA C-class oil. It comes in 1 l, 5 l, 20 l and 205 l.
