The job
VKMC 01279 covers the whole cam belt job on the 2.0 TDI in the VW Transporter T6: the belt, the tensioner and idler pulleys, and the water pump the belt drives (switchable design). All parts come under one article number, so nothing is left to source separately.
Doing it once
Changing the pump with the belt saves a second teardown if the old pump starts to weep a few months later. Also in the box: a screw, a stud and two nuts. Refill with the coolant the carmaker specifies and check the auxiliary belt and its tensioner while the front of the engine is open.
