Where it belongs
This is the battery for cars that left the factory with AGM: start-stop with brake-energy recovery, heavy electrical loads, or the 12 V side of a hybrid or EV. The electrolyte sits in glass-fibre mats, so it copes with repeated deep discharges that shorten the life of a flooded battery. The H8/L5 case is 353 x 175 x 190 mm, with the standard EN terminals and a B13 ledge.
Fitting it right
Replace AGM with AGM only; an EFB or flooded battery in an AGM car will fail early. Many of these cars want the new battery registered in the energy management with a diagnostic tester, otherwise the charge strategy stays set for the old one. Check the terminals and hold-down clamp while it is out, and take the old battery back for recycling.
