The job it does
OE-equivalent solid disc for the rear axle of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 316 CDI. New it measures 298 x 16 mm and it must be replaced at 14 mm. The high-carbon iron damps vibration and copes better with heat, which helps against judder.
Fitting it
Discs are always changed in axle pairs, and this one comes as a pair in the box. Fit new rear pads at the same time, clean the hub face back to bare metal and check the caliper slide pins. Brembo lists a tightening torque of 175 Nm. A brake fluid change is often due at the same visit.
