Technology
Why this one
01
DOT 4 LV
Meets ISO 4925 class 6 and can stand in for DOT 4 where the maker allows.
02
Low viscosity
No more than 750 cSt at -40 °C for fast ABS and ESP valve response.
03
High boiling points
At least 260 °C dry and 170 °C wet, above the class 6 minimum.
04
Eight pack sizes
From 0.25 l bottles to 60 l barrels for workshop bleeding units.
On the job
The job it does
A class 6 low-viscosity fluid for the brake-fluid change on current cars. It stays thin at -40 °C (750 cSt at most), so ABS and ESP valves react quickly, and both boiling points sit above the class 6 minimum: at least 260 °C dry and 170 °C wet. It can replace ordinary DOT 4 in most systems, but check what the car maker asks for.
In the workshop
Brake fluid draws in moisture through the hoses, and a wet fluid boils sooner and gives a soft pedal. Change it at the interval the car maker sets, usually every two years, and test it whenever the brakes are serviced. The 5 l and 20 l containers suit bleeding equipment; the small bottles are for topping up.
