On the job
What it does
Built for downsized turbo engines that run high cylinder pressure. The plug comes pre-gapped at 0.75 mm, so it goes straight in without a feeler gauge. Bosch type YA 5 NII 3320, 26.5 mm reach, tightened to 23 Nm. Bosch lists it for the VW Golf VIII.
Fitting and what else to check
Change all plugs on the engine in one go and fit them with a torque wrench into a cold head; aluminium threads strip easily. Blow out the plug wells before removal, and check the coil boots for tracking marks or cracks while they are off.
