The job
Corolla hybrids are popular as taxis and fleet cars, so the front links often wear before the calendar says they should. This 330 mm steel link with M12 x 1.25 studs fits the left or right side of the E21 front axle and comes with lock nuts. A light rattle over rough roads is the usual first sign.
Alongside it
Replace both front links together, holding the stud with a hex key while tightening. Check the anti-roll bar bushes and the lower arm bushes while the car is on the lift. Tighten the nuts with the car on its wheels or the suspension loaded, so the joints are not pre-stressed at ride height.
