The job
Battery-electric cars are heavy and quiet: the links work harder and every rattle reaches the driver. This front link for the ID.4 uses M14 x 1.5 studs rather than the M12 common on lighter cars, is 302 mm long and fits the left or right side. Lock nuts are supplied.
Alongside it
Replace both front links together. The ID.4 outer tie rod end, 184891, is another common wear item on the same axle and worth checking while the wheels are off. Tighten the nuts with the car on its wheels or the suspension loaded, so the joints are not pre-stressed at ride height.
