On the job
The job
Vans spend their lives loaded and on broken streets, so front drop links on the Transporter wear faster than on a car. This 260 mm steel link fits the left or right side of the T6 front axle and comes with its lock nuts. A knock from the front over bumps at low speed is the usual symptom.
Alongside it
Fit a pair, and check the anti-roll bar bushes at the same time since they often go together. Hold the stud with a hex key while tightening so the joint does not turn. Tighten the nuts with the car on its wheels or the suspension loaded, so the joints are not pre-stressed at ride height.
