Why this one
01
Rubber-metal
Non-hydraulic rubber-metal construction.
02
Gearbox side
Carries the left end of the drivetrain.
03
MQB coverage
Golf VII, Passat B8 and Octavia III and IV.
04
Part of a set
Pairs with 1003461 and 108020.
On the job
The job
The gearbox-side mount on MQB cars, a non-hydraulic rubber-metal bush that carries the left end of the drivetrain. A cracked or sagging one lets the gearbox move under load and adds to the clunk on take-off. It fits the Golf VII, Passat B8 and Octavia III and IV.
Alongside it
Replace it together with the engine-side hydro mount, 1003461, and the rear pendulum mount, 108020. With all three new the engine sits where it should, and idle and take-off feel smooth again. Support the engine from above while the mounts are out.
