The job
This is the everyday clutch job on the manual 2.0 TDI when the dual-mass flywheel is still within limits. The kit brings a new cover, a 240 mm disc with 23 splines and the central slave cylinder, which sits inside the bell housing. Changing the slave cylinder now means the gearbox only comes out once.
Check before ordering
Valeo splits this engine by flywheel make: 834586 is for a LuK flywheel, 834619 for a Sachs one, so look at the flywheel or the build data first. Measure the flywheel play and runout with the gearbox out; if it fails, the FULLPACK 837565 or the KIT4P 845254 are the next step. Use fresh flywheel-side bolts where the workshop manual asks for them.
