The job
Most D4 Volvos in the Nordics are automatics, but the manual XC60 and V60 need a clutch sooner or later, especially when towing. This kit covers both cars with one part number: 241 mm cover and disc with 23 splines, plus the central slave cylinder, so the gearbox only comes out once.
Check alongside
The dual-mass flywheel is reused, so measure its play and runout with the gearbox out. The kit fits both FWD and AWD XC60s. Look for oil at the crankshaft rear seal and the gearbox input seal while it is apart, and bleed the hydraulics properly afterwards, since air in a new slave cylinder gives a long, soft pedal.
