On the job
Two filaments, two jobs
H15 runs the daytime running light on its 15 W filament and switches to the 55 W filament for high beam. Because the DRL filament burns whenever the car is moving, a dead DRL is a common reason these cars come in. On the Golf VII and Octavia III the same bulb also serves as the parking light.
Before fitting
Check the headlamp: the lamp finder lists H15 only for halogen headlamps, and on the Transit Custom only without LED daytime running lights. Replace both sides together and check the H7 low beam in the same headlamp while it is open.
