Bi-xenon on VW Group cars
D3S is the mercury-free xenon burner in the bi-xenon headlamps of the Golf VII and Octavia III, where one burner does both low and high beam. XENARC ORIGINAL is the OE-grade version at 4300 K, rated 2000 h B3, and OSRAM backs it with a four-year guarantee and an online authenticity check.
Fitting
Xenon burners dim and shift colour with age, so replace both sides to keep them matched. Switch the lights off and disconnect before working on the ignitor, and run the burner only on approved control gear. Check the headlamp levelling and aim afterwards.
