On the job
Putting the zinc back
Welding, cutting and drilling leave bare steel that starts to rust almost at once. Zinc PRO puts a zinc-rich coat back on weld seams, repair panels, tow-bar and bracket fittings and exhaust hangers. The zinc protects the steel cathodically, so small scratches do not turn into creeping rust, and the coat survives bending and spot welding.
Getting a good coat
Spray at an air temperature above 10 °C, on steel at least 5 °C and 3 °C above the dew point, and below 85 % humidity. A 40 µm coat covers 0.4 to 0.8 m² per can, is touch-dry in 40 minutes and reaches 90 % cure after seven days. It can be painted over and handles 200 °C for four hours.
