On the job
The job it does
A complete front axle set for the VW Golf VII, Golf VIII, Passat B8, Tiguan II, Skoda Octavia III and Octavia IV. The pads measure 160 x 65 mm and are 20 mm thick, made to fit the TRW caliper, and the friction material is ECE R90 approved and matched to the original for bite and wear. The box includes anti-squeal shims, fitting accessories and caliper bolts, so worn hardware does not go back on.
Fitting it
Measure the discs while the wheels are off; if they are near the minimum thickness, replace them with the pads. The wear sensor is already fitted to the pad, so there is no separate sensor to order. These are directional pads: follow the left/right marking. Clean and grease the caliper guides, push the piston back gently and bed the pads in with a few moderate stops.
