The job
The right-hand front link for Model 3 and Model Y. Tesla links are handed, so this is not interchangeable with the left one, 179467. It is 280 mm long with M12 x 1.75 studs, as on the original. Worn links show up as clunks over bumps, which are easy to hear in a quiet electric car.
Alongside it
Fit left and right together. Check the outer tie rod ends, 179528, at the same time, as they see the same mileage and fit both sides. Tighten the nuts with the car on its wheels or the suspension loaded, so the joints are not pre-stressed at ride height.
