The job
In a quiet electric car a worn drop link is one of the first noises the driver notices. This long-running Nissan-pattern link fits either side of the Leaf ZE1 front axle: 283 mm long, M12 x 1.25 studs, lock nuts supplied. Because the same number covers many other Nissan models, it is a sensible part to keep on the shelf.
Alongside it
Replace both front links together and check the anti-roll bar bushes while you are there. Hold the stud with a hex key when tightening the nut. Tighten the nuts with the car on its wheels or the suspension loaded, so the joints are not pre-stressed at ride height.
