The job
SACHS 900 347 protects the front dampers on the VW Golf VII and VIII, Passat B8, ID.4 and Skoda Octavia III and IV. The dust covers keep grit and water off the piston rods, and the bump stops take the last of the travel so the dampers never bottom out. The PR code decides which kit fits, so check the plate in the boot or service book before ordering.

Old bump stops harden and crumble and dust covers split with age, and a new damper behind them wears out early. That is why the kit belongs on the same job as new dampers or struts: the parts are already off, so it adds almost no labour.
