The job
SACHS 350 763 replaces a worn front strut on the VW Transporter T6 and T6.1. It is built for a working van that carries weight every day and fits two- and four-wheel-drive vans without electronic damping. Mounting is top pin, as on the original, so it goes straight in without changes.
Alongside it
Dampers should be changed in pairs on the same axle so the car stays balanced under braking and in bends. With the strut out, it is the natural time to replace the top mount, bump stops and dust covers, and to check springs, drop links and wheel alignment once it is back together.
