The job
Valeo makes this compressor type for VW group production, so it is the one to stock for MQB cars that come in with a seized or noisy compressor. It arrives new, not remanufactured, with a 110 mm six-groove pulley and a PAG 46 oil charge, so there is no core to return.
Do the whole circuit
A failed compressor sends debris round the loop. Flush the circuit, replace the receiver-drier or the condenser with built-in drier, and check the expansion valve before fitting the new unit. Check the refrigerant on the car label before charging, and on the Passat and T6 confirm the build date and PR code first.
