The job
A single outer tie rod end for both sides of the ID.4 front axle, shared across the MEB family of cars. It has a 123 mm body, M16 x 1.5 internal thread and M12 x 1.5 ball stud, with the lock nut in the box. Heavy electric cars are hard on steering joints, so play here is a common inspection finding.
Alongside it
Count the turns when removing the old end and align the car afterwards. Check the front drop links, 184809, and the inner tie rods and rack boots at the same time, and recalibrate front camera or radar systems where the car has them.
