The job it does
OE-equivalent vented disc for the front axle of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 316 CDI. New it measures 300 x 28 mm and it must be replaced at 25 mm. The high-carbon iron damps vibration and copes better with heat, which helps against judder. Pillar-type (PVT) cooling vanes resist heat cracking better than straight vanes.
Fitting it
Discs are always changed in axle pairs, and this one is packed singly, so order two. Fit new front pads at the same time, clean the hub face back to bare metal and check the caliper slide pins. A brake fluid change is often due at the same visit.
