Why this one
01
Bushes pressed in
Both rubber bushes come fitted, so no press is needed at the bench.
02
Pressed steel
Sheet-steel wishbone matching the original MQB front-axle design.
03
Four cars, one arm
Same number for Golf VII, Golf VIII, Octavia III and Octavia IV.
04
Left-hand side
Right-hand partner is 106143; replace both together.
On the job
The job
Worn front wishbone bushes are the classic cause of knocking over speed bumps and vague steering on high-mileage MQB cars. This arm replaces the left lower wishbone on Golf VII and VIII and Octavia III and IV with both bushes already pressed in, so there is no press work at the bench: unbolt the old arm, fit the new one, set the alignment.
Alongside it
Most workshops fit left and right arms together so both sides have the same bush stiffness. With the car on the lift, check the drop links and outer track-rod ends too, since the same mileage wears them. Recalibrate front camera or radar systems after the alignment where the car has them.
