The job
A worn outer track-rod end is an inspection fail and shows up as play at the wheel and uneven tyre wear. This is the left-hand end for MQB Golf and Octavia: 95 mm body, M16 x 1.5 internal thread for the rack and M12 x 1.5 ball stud, with lock nut supplied. On Octavia III and IV febi also lists the longer 37593, so compare with the old part.
Alongside it
Count the turns when unscrewing the old end to keep the toe close, then align the car. Replace the right-hand end, 26097, at the same time if it shows play, and check the inner tie rods and drop links while the wheels are off.
