The job
The right-hand outer tie rod end for MQB Golf and Octavia, with a 95 mm body, M16 x 1.5 internal thread and M12 x 1.5 ball stud. The lock nut is supplied. On Octavia III and IV febi also lists the longer 37594 depending on the steering rack, so compare lengths with the old part before fitting.
Alongside it
Always follow with a wheel alignment, counting the turns when removing the old end to keep the toe close. The left-hand end, 26096, usually wears at the same rate, and the inner tie rods, rack boots and drop links are worth checking while the car is on the lift.
