The job
The right-hand, longer-bodied outer tie rod end for Passat B8 and Tiguan II, also listed for Octavia III and IV alongside 26097 depending on the steering rack. It has a 112 mm body, M16 x 1.5 internal thread and M12 x 1.5 ball stud, and takes a T40 Torx bit to hold the stud. The lock nut is supplied.
Alongside it
Compare lengths with the old part on an Octavia before fitting. Follow with a wheel alignment, and replace the left-hand end, 37593, at the same time if it has play. The inner tie rods, rack boots and front drop links are worth checking while the wheels are off.
